Guidelines

Golf event guidelines
Key Performance Areas, as defined in the Golf Environment Europe Guidelines for Golf Events (2002), are as follows:

  • Site protection - nature and landscape conservation
  • Pollution management - air, water and soil quality
  • Water resource management
  • Waste avoidance and minimisation
  • Energy conservation

Event organisers and promoters are being encouraged to adopt these guidelines and to implement specific 'green' initiatives to improve the environmental profile of their event.   Specialist advisory support is available from the Golf Environment Europe.
