Peugeot Golf Guide Environment Feature

Benjamin Warren, Golf Environment Europe

Golf Environment Europe is delighted to have contributed an environmental feature to the 2008 - 2009 Peugeot Golf Guide to Europe’s Top 1,000 Golf Courses.

The guide is a reference work that seeks to inform European golfers as the Michelin Hotel & Restaurant Guide informs those of the discerning palate.

For the past 12 years a team of professional golfers, amateur champions, golf architecture journalists and enlightened enthusiasts have “ghosted” their way down the fairways of each and every golf course in Europe. Their ratings are reviewed and validated by an Editorial Committee who determine the best 1000 sites before writing them up in English and the local language.

The guide aims first and foremost to introduce as many people as possible to the cream of European golf courses. With 7 million golfers and over 6,000 courses, golf is Europe’s number one individual sport. This is why, thanks to some original and thorough research, the Peugeot Golf Guide has taken the lead of the Michelin Guide is becoming a first stop reference for golfers of all levels who love the thrill and excitement of discovering new courses.

MICHELIN distributes the Peugeot Golf Guide to “Europe’s Top 1,000 Golf Courses” to bookshops across Europe, but the book is also on sale at leading golf stores and selected pro-shops, price €34.

The Peugeot Golf Guide to “Europe’s Top 1,000 Golf Courses” is published by Editions Mourgue d’Algue
